I Found it Interesting

I was at the playground tonight with the kids. We were the only ones there until an older kid came and started swinging.

Jonah was very calm when he came to me and in his I-can't-quite-get-my-words-out voice he says, "The squeaking on his swing erupts me."

"Erupts you?"

"Yeah," he says, "It's disappoints me. I need earphones or an ipod."

I found it very interesting. Sure his vocabulary was not quite what it should be, but I understood what he was trying to say.

The squeaking bothered him.

At that moment, his brain was completely in sync so he knew as soon as the squeaking began it was going to bother his brain.

I'm thankful that he's learning to recognize that which causes him to get "out of sync"-- and that he can verbalize it to me.

He put on Lydia's hat at my suggestion and told me that it helped a bit.

Good for him.

Jesus said, "Come here, Jonah, and sit on my lap, so I can tell you just how special you are to me, and how much I love the way you describe our world."
